Your own Meeting: But what happens if there is no meeting near your live. The advantage of the Meetup site is that you can start your own group in your own town or country. You may have to host the meeting, but the site lets you know how many people are interested to coming to your meeting. There might be visitors from other cities or countries. You could make friends and even friends from other countries. [3]
Here are the steps to starting your own meetup in your area, city or country.
- What's your new Meetup Group's hometown?
- What will your Meetup be about?
- For this post choose "Food & Drink"
- What will your Meetup's name be?
- Describe who should join, and what your Meetup will do.
- An example is given below: I am a member of this meetup.
“IEVM is a community of vegans, vegetarians, and veggie-curious folks seeking to connect with like-minds on their journey toward compassionate living. We welcome all who are interested in the vegan lifestyle, including those who may not know where to begin. No matter where you are on your journey or what your motives may be (i.e. ethical, environmental, health, etc.), we are here to support and inspire you. We strive to promote the vegan lifestyle by hosting a variety of events including food outings, potlucks, social activities, and cooking classes on a regular basis. Special events like lectures, bake sales, community outreach, documentary screenings, and field trips also take place throughout the year. There's a little bit of something for everyone in our group and we hope to share some exciting experiences with you soon! [3], [4]
